Is thermal error during hot tightening normal?

I was changing my nozzle to a 0.6mm and doing a hot tightening at 280C, holding the heat block with a wrench and tightening the nozzle with a socket. When I tighten the printer goes into thermal error, starts beeping, and the temperature starts dropping. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks in advance

Yes, the wrench will soak up some of the heat and cool the heater block down causing the error to pop up. I just try to do it as quickly as possible to get it tight before it cools down too much.

Also, if you're using the latest firmware, go to the Hardware menu and use the Change nozzle option so the new thermal protection model (that I don't think anyone has asked for) gets disabled.

I had forgotten about that feature.
