How to fix this issue in the slicing software?

Basically I have a major problem with my 3d printed parts collapsing on bridging sections, due to the slicing software using wrong print patterns. Please see the pictures in the link:

Any idea how to change print pattern on a given layer? I am amazed that the slicing software (PrusaSlicer) is not intelligent enough to detect it by itself.

Perhaps some of the part errors are misleading the software - but it looks like it's doing what it is supposed to do.  You might try increasing bridge flow to 100%.  You can also try changing the bridging angle - but 45 looks like it's best.

Can you modify the part so the smaller squares don't close until the next layer?

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately this is a very small part. and due to interlocking requirements with other parts I can't change the geometry even with just one layer. I will try out the bridge flow change and see if that improves things.

But just to make sure I understand it correctly: seems like there is no way in the software to to alter the printing pattern of a given layer? Because if I could change the way that problematic layer is being printed to the way the next layer above it is being printed, then all my issues would be solved. I am just so puzzled that there is no way to achieve this in a software like PrusaSlicer, as it seems extremely sophisticated and user adjustable in every other way.
