Help needed please - my belt started getting stuck, seems to resist movement one way only.

Printer has been fine for many months. About a week ago one of my prints ended up being misaligned (layer shift), so i assumed it was just a random knock or something and moved on. Since then every so often (maybe once a couple days) i would hear the printer's belt get "stuck" for a second or so, but then resume.

Today that changed, and now my printer cannot work because it gets stuck during the calibration part every time. What seems to happen is that the belt (y axis i believe) strongly resists moving to the right side. Turning off printer and manually moving the header confirmed this - i can very easily move the printing head to the left from any position, but moving it to the right goes smooth at first, but then starts to resist very heavily around middle. It still moves, but it almost feels like there's something holding it tightly and not wanting it to move cleanly.

Im afraid i am terrible at hardware (i bought this printer pre-assembled), so i didnt want to unscrew anything without knowing what im supposed to do to fix this.

Im attaching a video showing what's happening, and hoping that someone here can diagnose the issue and tell me how i can fix this. In the video the printer is going through its initial bed leveling pre-printing. I stop it halfway because i want to avoid somehow damaging the printer by letting it run further this way.

Thank you!

Sorry I can't load your video...

there have been a number of complaints of the axis jamming in one direction, that have been cured by lubricating the smooth rods,
could you try this approach?

That seemed to work. Thank you!

As a follow up question, can you recommend a good lubricant for MK3S that i could buy on Amazon.co.uk? (british version)?

I dont reeally know the difference between various brands/types of lubricant, and then there's stuff like lithium grease etc, and that's just confusing for a new printer owner.

Thank you!
