Heater cartridge loose fit heaterblock
Greetings all:
I have a small issue with my Prusa MK3s+.
I was replacing my heater Cartridge, thermistor and heaterblock after wrecking them while cleaning a failed print.
The new parts (all original Prusa parts) came in and while installing the new heater cartridge it was a pretty loose fit.
The screw started to strip and i can't get it tighter but it falls out when hold sideways. There is nothing to find on this issue and i dubble checked if i got the right parts.
Any help and tips are welcome!

No, i am not following those instruction since they are about replacing an whole new hotend and i am having issues with the heater cartridge specifically. As in i am assembling a new complete hotend.
Thank you for the reply tho.

If I’m not mistaken, the thermistor is ‘pinched’ in its slot by that screw.
If you have a small drill and tap, you can gently drill the threads out and tap new threads for a nominally oversized screw. You’ll also have to drill an oversized hole for the screw clearance (before you tap the new threads) where the screw first enters the heater block.
The heater block is aluminum so this should be pretty straightforward.
In that case see:
