Front Print Fan Bad Bearing

Sound like I have a bad bearing on the front print fan.. you can hear it rubbing, which will likely result in a shorter lifespan of the fan. Is this possible to fix or just replace the fan ? What is the fan model and cable length needed for replacement (if needed) thank you !

Hi Bryant,

it's a 5 volt 5015 3pin turbine fan

they seem difficult to find...especially with a long cable

I found that there is some oddball company that has stock

they are caller Prusa Research 😯

If you peel the sticker off the back of the fan and can see the bearing, place a drop of general purpose oil on it, turn it by hand a few times and clean up any excess. Replace the sticker with a piece of tape if the sticker no longer adheres. It's cheap and easy to try out and won't make it any worse than it already is. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.
