First layer CAL
So I did several searches and perhaps I did not enter the proper words.
I want to know if I adjust my first layer too tight will it cause clogging? I did an adjustment to a tighter first layer and then the exact same setup that was printing just fine before (same everything, filament, temps, settings, print file, etc..) would clog the nozzle about 30 to 50 percent through the print. I thought maybe it was the filament first, then the temps, then the nozzle. I am in the process of running another print with the taller first layer so may be a little premature on the question but still want to know if anyone else has seen this issue.
RE: First layer CAL
First layer calibration can cause clogs on the first layer,
it is unlikely to cause clogs on succeeding layers, unless the first layer is way to low.
Live Z values are unique to each printer,
I use
Life Adjust Z My Way, to help with first layer calibration, in preference to Prusa's integrated first layer calibration option.
below is a picture showing some features of different live Z values on my printer.
your values will be different, but you will see that small changes in value give significant changes in quality
