filament sensor error

so im having the filament sensor error on my Prusa i3 MK3 about two weeks ago,first i thought that maybe was my sensor so i bought a new one thinking that this was going to solve my problem but it didn't,so i bought the filament sensor cable too and it didn't worked too, i checked that everything was good, i installed the new filament cable in the same spot and also the new sensor but im still have the same error,before i buy the printer board (because that's the only thing left to buy) i want to know if there's something else that i can try to fix the problem .

Re: filament sensor error

1) Which fillament you use? If something bright, or transparent, that is always a problem.
2) What problem do you have? False end filament detection? Not working auto load or what?

University: MK2S upgraded to MK3 with MMU2.0
Home: MK3
Materials: ABS; ASA; PETG; PET; PLA; Nylon; Nylon Carbon; CPE;
SW: Freecad 0.18; Slicer PE And still generating more troubles than whole forum together.

i use pla,flat colors only and the problem i have is that it doesn't load the filament automatic,i have to do it manual also it doesn't stop when it run out filament,it continues moving it used to worked before but it stopped working suddenly.
when i do the self test the only thing with an error is the sensor even if i go to the settings i cant turning on it keep saying error filament sensor is not responding,please check connection but as i said before the sensor cable is new

Re: filament sensor error

Ok and do you have it conected to the right spot?
I know stupid question, but this one has no lock on it, so it is easy to change polarity ar pins... If I remember right thi cable (1×4) is connected to the 2×5 socket. My personally make several mistake with fillament sensor...

If you doublecheck conection on both side of cable (coresponding with manual) try to take a macro photo of extracted fillament sensor.

Everything is connected in the right spot,before the error I never opened the box where all the wires and the board are,i only changed the sensor and I did the self test and it didn’t worked,I ordered the sensor cable after that and that was the first time that i opened the board box,before I connected the new cable i followed the manual and I plug the cable in the right spot I ran the self test again and i got the same error,now I really think is the board .
I haven’t used my printer too much since i bought it that’s why i don’t understand why it failed so soon

I bought my print last year so I don’t think I’m still under the warranty
