Filament Sensor 0

Issue:

- My filament sensor reads 0 even if filament is inserted.  This causes the print to stop and require constant filament reloads.

Observations

- I can press the filament to the left, pushing the steel ball closer to the filament sensor.  This triggers the sensor to read 1.

Troubleshooting so far:

- I disassembled the print head to see the internal parts.  The lever seems to be working correctly.  There are no obstructions to the steel ball

- Screws aren't overtightened.

- I've purchased a replacement sensor, the issue persists even with the new sensor.

- The wire is plugged correctly into the EINSY board.  This issue happened randomly after the printer working for hundreds of hours.

I've tried searching for similar issues, but most seem to have their sensor stuck at 1.  Does anyone know of a fix for the issue? Thanks

RE: Filament Sensor 0

it's possible that the adapter printer is worn.

The orange part is the adapter printer, after a lot of printing the hole in the orange part, can wear, resulting in the ball not moving as far, and failing to move the filament sensor far enough to activate the sensor. another possibility is the Filament Sensor Leer face may have been worn. causing the same issue.
might be worth re printing both parts, and replacing them both at the same time.

My printer is also not recognizing the filament.  I just logged on to see if I could find help and came across this.  Now I have something to check. Joan, thanks for helping everyone. You and a couple of others were invaluable to me when I first started printing.

I also had a filament sensor issue and ended up cleaning out filament which caused the sensor arm to be stuck, indicating that there was always filament. So I could not load any filament.  I wanted to share in case it helps someone else.
