Filament Runout Firmware issue

Hi

My filament sensor reads 1 when filament present and 0 when it runs out. Thats fine. Sensor working and cabling fine. The mechanical fixing of the sensor and associated hardware must also be ok. However the printer continues to print without pausing with no filament. So I have a failed print. So the problem must be firmware, surely. So I have flashed the latest firmware (3.9.1) and the problem remains. Any help appreciated.

Sorry, maybe a superfluous question: Did you activate the filament sensor and did you install the correct firmware (MK3 or MK3S)?

Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.

@karl-herbert

Definately Mk3S firmware and I have toggled the sensor manually and with constant success. Also allowed the filament to deliberately run out whilst monitoring the sensor state on the LCD screen. Everything points to firmware which I accept maybe now is more likely to suggest I have a setting wrong somewhere since this would appear to be a problem that only I am having.
