Extrusion stops an hour or so into every print
All of a sudden my i3 Mk3s has started to just stop extruding when it gets to a certain point in a print. It runs for a good hour and a half then just doesn't extrude anymore.
The prints are coming out absolutely perfectly, then at roughly the same height on the last 6 prints (within 1mm), I look over and see it's stopped extruding. If I catch it early enough I can cancel the print, clear the print bed, hit print and it will start again perfectly as if nothing was wrong and without fixing anything. If however it has been not extruding for a while it can grind the filament a bit so I have to remove the filament, clip the end and re-insert it.
But the fact that it can print again straight away suggests that there isn't any blockage.
Even though I know it's not the gcode as I've printed on that printer from that file 60 times in the last week, I tried creating it again, I tried printing different stls and the same issue still.
Any ideas?
RE: Extrusion stops an hour or so into every print
There is not a slight bulge in the filament at lengths equating to roughly 60 minutes use? The fact that the filament is ground away would suggest to me that either the hot end has cooled (you could check on the display), or that a bulge in the filament has caused it to get suck in the feed tube to the hot end. I would put my money on the filament manufacturing fault.

@paul-c42
You know what, since I posted last night I had the exact same thought so this morning changed to a different reel (from a different brand) and hey presto, came out perfectly. Now that could of course be coincidence but we'll see what happens with this next print.
Thanks for your help 🙂

There is a big chance to be this:

But there are also these possibilities:
