Sorry, where do I check the temps?

If you mean on the info screen they are all set to what the slicer is when the gcode is processed.

And how long is it before it restarts?  Is this repeatable?

Are you using an enclosure?

Hello,

If I let it set for 30 to 40 minutes it will start extruding again.

I have only tried to use the same prints, but yes it is repeatable

No enclosure

thanks

Hi Dave,

Is the extruder motor particularly hot when it stops extruding?
similarly, is the stepper driver particularly hot, when it stops extruding?

For magnets to lose their magnetism, they would have to be stinking hot.

did you try the stepper driver?
do you have a hair drier, or other fan that can blow cold? If so, can you direct that towards the controller box?
see if you can cool the controller?

This will require a little disassembly:  With the extruder gears removed and power off try turning the motor spindle by hand.

You should feel the gentle bumps of the stepper but that's all, if there is any grating or grittiness you may have a failed internal bearing which is seizing with heat expansion.

Cheerio,
