Crash and Shifting
Hoping someone can help with these weird issues I'm having on my MK3s.
Used to be sometimes but now every time I start a print I get what you see in the video. A crash during initial calibration then the prints starts with the nozzle slightly above the plate for the purge line and the print will not be great as the height is slightly off. But if stop that print immediately and restart it the print starts just fine. What is causing this here some things.
Also Layer shifting on prints.
Model:mk3s about a year and a half old
Firmware:3.10.0-4481
Prusa Slicer version: 2.3.1 based on Slic3r
belt tension:x263 y253

See video I'm hoping fixing this could potentially fix the layer shifting issue im also having

Things I have done towards the shifting issue.
1.I have cleaned the rods and re-greased them at around the height/s where it is happening but that has not helped.
2. My belt tension is at x263 and y 253 after tightening them a bit.
4. have calibrated my 1st layer so much its at the best its ever been I have printed tall items that have passed the shifting levels and those did not have issues. Mind you it is not consistent sometimes it does and sometimes it does not but its usually on long prints and now its starting to do it more often. Also all of the prints were done on the Prusa standard Quality setting 0.15mm.

I posted the same question to Reddit where theres a video attached there

RE: Crash and Shifting

Did you try a factory reset as suggested in redit?

layer shifts on x-axis

I just struggled with a similar problem after converting my extruder to the LGX. Random crashes and layer shifts (always on the x-axis.) The more I worked on it the worse it got. Today as I was disassembling the extruder assembly to start over, I found that the nylon cable support was not inserted all the way into the rear of the x-axis cover. It occurred to me that with it out of the rear of the cover,  the end of the nylon is still somewhat free to move inside the cable wrap (even with the cable ties that secure it to the support.) This movement will allow it to catch on the inside of the cable wrap at random moments and possibly create enough resistance on the x-axis movement to cause the layer shift. To make a long story short, I have printed the problem part 3 times since and in the process of printing it a fourth time right now -- with NO layer shifts. I have previously tried to print this part at least 10 times over the last week without any successes.
