Clogged - Prusa i3 MK3

I'm starting to get frustrated. I have printed several things successfully, changed filament, and now my machine is super clogged. I followed the directions on the knowledge base: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/clogged-nozzle-hotend-mk3s-mk2-5s_2008 but there is some purple filament that I just can't clear out. Here is a picture.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi DJ,

I would heat the hot end above normal temperature, leave the extruder tension screw out, and press a 1.5 mm allen key, in through the top of the extruder housing, and press firmly on the end of thr filament, to encourage the filament to melt and pass out of the hot end!

regards Joan

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Thank you so much for your advice. The heating it higher than what it was needed was the best suggestion. It helped a lot. What you said about just pushing down didn't work right away. But we got ahold of some of the jammed filament with tweezers and pliers through the extruder tension door. After we did that we pushed some of the jammed filament down and it extruded right away. Then we loaded more filament in and it worked! Thank you so much for your help. I have been frustrated with this for a while and this really helped.
