Cleanliness is next to Godliness
Both my hotend and my model cooling fans have been getting more noisy lately, and while looking at some other things "under the hood", I took the model cooling fan apart to see what was going on.
I was amazed at the amount of dust that accumulated on the blades! After 5 minutes carefully cleaning it with a toothbrush, I re-fitted it, and it's as quiet as when I bought it.
I share this because I thought I was pretty much up on my routine maintenance, and I was staggered just how much dust there was - and although I have the printer in a bedroom, there's no bed: just a carpet on the floor
