Broken hotend wire on MK3S. Best way to repair / replace?
Hey all,
One of the wires from my hotend was apparently dragging across the for a while, so all of the insulation is gone. Is there a good way to repair this? Is there a way to replace just that wire, or do I need to get something else? (This is the first repair I've needed to do after having the printer for a while, so I'm not sure of the best place to get replacement parts if necessary.)

Heater cartridges and thermistors are pretty much the cheapest replacement parts and easy to replace so that's what I would do. In fact, that's what I'm doing right now, or would be doing if the US Postal Service were actually able to deliver the replacement thermistor to me after more than two weeks in transit, from DE to MA. I guess they must have been surprised that Christmas was suddenly coming and had no chance to plan for it...

@fuchsr
Ok cool, I went ahead and ordered a replacement thermistor cartridge. Hopefully it won’t take too long once the Christmas rush has settled!

If you're in a pinch and are able to solder, you could adapt the regular E3V6 version: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-E3D-Thermistor-Cartridge-E-SEMITEC-50-MOLEX/dp/B072HNL9MR/ref=pd_sbs_1?pd_rd_w=y5g3r&pf_rd_p=ed1e2146-ecfe-435e-b3b5-d79fa072fd58&pf_rd_r=89GJK11K3M61388TFA3P&pd_rd_r=87428dc6-6c73-4fbf-a4a5-d502e222c7ce&pd_rd_wg=iidaG&pd_rd_i=B072HNL9MR&psc=1
and receive it from amazon, probably much faster than USPS.
