Bricked Einzy RAMBo (1.1a)
A while ago I accidentally bricked my Einzy ((1.1a)). I replaced it with a new one. But after some googling, I found out that is maybe possible to fix it but don't know how.
How it append:
I wanted to connect my Pi3B+ to my Prusa via de gpio pins.
I jury-rigged a cable to connect the Einzy and the Pi.
I wanted to plug the cable on the front of the Einzy board.
When I made the cable I forgot that I had to mirror the cable.
After I plugged it in the Pi was fried and I get an error:
External SPI flash W25X20CL not responding.
The reason I want it to fix it:
I have a broken Wanhao i3 that I don't use anymore and I think its a waste. I found a Mk3ish mod for it and I thought If I can fix the broken Einzy I can use it as an replace mans for is boken Melzi board. (connector melted)
Re: Bricked Einzy RAMBo (1.1a)
Ouch. Most likely fried board components. You still have logic and display so I think power rail is OK (not blown fuse)
By any chance is your EINSY a really early one with a daughterboard? If you took off the daughterboard off an early revision EINSY, you would also get this error. Just thinking of easy fixable problems with what you did.
Component level repair isn't going to happen via forum posts.
