Request for Enhancement: make E3D fully replaceable

Hi all,

Printer: MK3S Kit

Problem / Repro:
Worked like nothing I've seen before for >70 hours until some stupid operator (=me) decided to try "Renkforce Wood Filament"

Outcome1:
After ~20mins printing the filament had a slight hiccup diameter-wise and jammed the PTFE-tube, unloading filament resulted in "tear off just below the extruder-gears"

Solution "1st try":
-) disassemble the print-head (fan-parts, stepper, etc) so that the E3D can be reached.
-) remove PTFE-tube ("head to the spare-parts bag", *thankyou*)
-) since I had a replacement ready I also decided to swap the 0.4 nozzle
-) re-assembled the E3D and -so it seems- I did tighten the thing "just not enough", see below
-> Prusa-Logo from SD and a 14hr-job afterwards: successfull

.. what I did miss during the short print is that I introduced a filament-leak between the heat-block and the "whatsitsname screwed in there"

This caused some havoc because the leak created a blob which eventually covered the top of the heat-block completely and clogged <2cm of all cables -heat, thermistor- too... 😯

Solution "2nd try":
-) disassemble again <see above>
-) heat up extruder (last Filament was PETG so ~230C)
-) loosen the screws (heat | thermistor)
-) try to remove <heat-thingy>
-> success
-) try to remove thermistor
-> failed, sheared off one cable (MINTEMP FAIL on display)

Outcome2:
my *own* "spare part bag" just happens to contain a complete E3Dv6-Extruder and now I'm severely tempted to not bother with faffing around with the wiring (head -> sleeve -> Einsy -> "Medusa within") and instead crimping the -included with my own E3D- plugs for the thermistor on a place "somewhere accessible if shit happens" just close to the head.

Questions:
-) why is replacing the cabling <see above> so hard with MK3?
-) did I miss a reason for not using "stock E3D v6 as it can be bought from <E3D or Prusa>"? (connectors, at least for the thermistor)
-) any plans re "we'll change this"?

.. and last not least ...
-) if I choose to replace the complete extruder or just parts (everything from E3D, *really*):
-> will this cause some ...unexpected... outcome (length of <part> is different -> something will crash *hard*)?

Thanks in advance & still happy with MK3S!

PS: event after extracting the PTFE-Tube I was not able to yank the stuck filament out, Bondtech +1 😀
