Belt Test: Y axis length 117

I cannot get any calibrations to work and they all fail with the Y axis. I tightened the belt but now the printer says the y axis length is 117 which is way off correct? I factory reset it and it still has the shorter length. I think if it had the correct distance saved that I would be good to go. Does anyone know how to fix that? Would a firmware "update" reset that number?

Thanks

Calder

Do you have any obstructions ?

The motor drivers measures the current the stepper uses to find the endpoints.

if you have obstructions, or if the carriage is stuck on some part or the rods aren't aligned, it might falsely detect that as the end.

The error means the Y axis cannot travel to the expected limits.  As @pseudo_end suggests there is most likely something blocking the bed but is can also be caused by clogging of the pulleys.

With the printer turned off slide the bed by hand - is it smooth?  Does it go all the way in both directions?

Cheerio,
