Bad Bearings? Y Carriage movement
Getting a rattling noise from the Y carriage and tore it down to see if I could find something that was loose.
There seems to be a good amount of lateral play on the carriage. Am I being paranoid here? Here's a video:
You may need headphones or turn up the speakers as the cell phone doesn't have the best microphone.
Thanks all
RE: Bad Bearings? Y Carriage movement
Hi Rhino.
Have the bearings been lubricated?
If not, I would lubricate them before continuing.
that amount of movement is similar to mine, and I don't have issues.
the linear motion input, is centred on the middle of the Y axis where the belt pulls in each direction, so the opportunity for rotation is minimised.
