Another PSU complaint

I know, this is probably getting old but I have to ask... Has anyone figured out what is rattling inside this thing? Installed the strap version of these today:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1819779

and it made a big difference over the u-bolt solution (poor design choice with these bearings IMHO) but the PSU STILL makes noise, albeit not as much. And this on top of the near constant ticking. This thing is by far the loudest part of the assembly now and I'm guessing the only solution is a Mean Well PSU others have mentioned.

Anyway, sorry for the rant but I'm curious if anyone has figured out a way to cure it.

Whew, I feel better now 🙂

Re: Another PSU complaint

Yes, it was explained here: www.prusaprinters.org/original-prusa-i3-mk3-2-months/ in January of 2018. It is a plastic insulation sheet vibrating inside the PSU. When a current runs through a coil, the induced magnetic field produces a torque. When a lot of current runs through a coil, it can kick back quite a bit causing everything to shake. The sound can be annoying, but it's not dangerous.

Thanks lars! It all sounds reasonable, but makes it no less irritating :). Really appreciate the info.

BTW, the link you provided is broken but the text of the link is correct.
