Adjust MINTEMP setting.

I have 6 printers set up in my garage. After the latest firmware upgrades my MK3S machines are constantly tripping with MINTEMP BED errors because of the cold environmental temperature, which has been around 13°C lately. I have jobs running into the night so can't turn them off before I retire to bed but the alarms are so loud I have to get up to turn them off when they trigger, which is always after the jobs have finished. It is also puzzling why the Mini+ minimum temperature is 10°C but the MK3S is 15°C. Is there any way to disable the alarm, decrease the minimum temperature, or use an Octoprint plugin to perhaps warm up the beds when they are off to avoid the alarms?

Best Answer by Neophyl:

Below 15 degrees the sensors  in the Mk3 are not accurate enough to determine the difference between the low temperature or a faulty sensor.  I don't know if those used in the mini are different which would allow them to go lower.

There is a longish github issue where this has been requested (actually multiple issues) where it is explained what the hardware limitations are and why its not as simple as changing a setting in the software.

Hi Neophyl,
I suspect the analogue ports on the Mini, have a better accuracy with it being a better processor...

I have them off already but the alarms must override the feedback sound settings.

I think your best bet is to research the octoprint options.  I don't run octoprint myself but it sounds like something octo could potentially do.
