.05 First Layer Question

I sliced a 75x75 square and set the first layer to .05mm. When it printed the display showed .15mm for the first layer, but it was printing at .05. I got my z set so it prints a good sheet .05 thick, just wondering if anyone could explain what the display showed .15mm?

I have no idea why it would do that, unless it simply won't let you "print" at less than 0.15mm...

A better question is why would you bring your first layer so low? The risk to damage the PEI sheet is so VERY high.

I was trying to see how accurate my live z was. No damage to pei and verified it is printing at .05 even though the display says it is not. Damaged pei wouldn’t be the most expensive thing I’ve broken screwing around. 😛

Good luck replacing the PEI... it's sold out... 😛

Honestly, of everything on my printer that is NOT replaceable I consider my sheets to be the top. (that, and the frame pieces)
