Well done Prusa!

Hello there,
couple of weeks since i've received my mk3 kit, i just wanted to drop my appreciation for this awesome 3d printer now that i almost got 100% grip with it.

Bit of a background about me, i'm an IT professional and technology enthusiast from italy, with my fair share of knowledge about how electronics and mechanical things works. I love to build things myself and learn in the process, which is probably what everyone else here loves to do so, Though this is my 1st 3d printer.

Build of the kit went smooth like butter, i took my time and i had the printer fully assembled in approx. 12hrs, self test and calibration were successful at the first try too.

Printing experience was good since the beginning, i had to go through a learning curve about the general usage of the printer, extruder calibration, the different materials and the modeling and slicing process. And i can really say i'm really satisfied of the purchase (and the recent improvements from the 3.2.0 RC1 fw).

I see some people here have problems, and probably this is totally normal, on every product that sells high numbers there's always a small percentage of ppl with issues and those are the topics that pop much frequently on support forums instead of those about ppl being happy about the product, well i'm one of the latter and i wanted to say it.

Props to you PRUSA, you did an awesome job.

Giorgio (an happy customer 🙂 )

Re: Well done Prusa!

Giorgio,
I can only agree with you.
My kit arrived just before Christmas and was assembled and up and running 3 days later.
I've had various other 3D printers over the last 4 years (both Vellemans) and my MK3 outperforms them with ease.
I intended to update my previous printers after I got my Prusa settled down but no longer feel the need to spend any more of my time on them.
They are in permanent storage until I can find a use for them.
The combination of Fusion360 and my Prusa i3 MK3 is unbeatable.
I've resisted the urge to update the printed parts to the new version simply becuase there is no need too.
I have orange and black PETG by my side ready to print new parts if and when necessary.
At the moment, it is not necessary.

I've had one unexplainable hiccup on one occasion where I had significant layer shifting.
It happened once only and has never re-occurred.

Am currently running 3.2.0-RC1 firmware printing PLA, ABS and PETG (mainly eSun).

Am totally happy with my MK3.

Re: Well done Prusa!

Are you guys willing to print a 20x20 cube with 1 perimeter 0 infill and no top, then take a picture of it with light shining down the front, so the layers cast shadows on each other, and post it here for us please? I would like to see if either or both of your printers have or don't have the inconsistent extrusion problem,

(If you're wondering I've got a Tevo Black Widow, a Creality Ender-2, a Prusa MK3, Cubicon Style, and another MK2S on order, and about 16 Cubicon Single+'s and 8 styles in my fleet at work.)

Here you go. This was pre 3.2.0 RC1 though
