Rough layer print
Hi
I hope someone can assist. I have completed a print and the base layer is printing very roughly as indicated in the image. has anyone else experienced this issue and found the cause?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
the Base Layer, is the first layer, so it is likely you have a problem with your first layer calibration.
In My opinion the Prusa First Layer Calibration tool is not very easy to manage, so I use a different process...
the standard Prusa Mk3 series printers, start off using 3x3 Mesh Bed levelling. there is an option for 7x7 mesh bed levelling, available via an LCD Menu option, this tests 49 points on the build plate, instead of the normal 9 points, If you are not already using 7x7 mesh bed levelling I suggest that you turn it on now.
next I suggest that you look at the following process,
there are three test files, located in a zipfile at the bottom of the first post in the forum. select the one appropriate for your filament,
run the gcode on your printer and adjust the live Z as the print progresses to achieve a smooth lump free first layer.
regards Joan
