Questions on printing ABS/ASA

I wonder if any of you print lots with abs/asa and if so how the petg printed parts holds up (or if you have reprinted them in abs for example).

Currently i'm printing quite alot of custom cases in petg for low-voltage electronics (5-24v) controlboxes for outside use (protected, still outdoors).

Accuracy with dimensions are important, but not absolutely critical as i print all parts for the same case on the same printer so builtin tolerances are the same across all parts.

Usually one or two layer cases with separate top and bottom screwed in place.

Not to the questions;

I'm thinking enclosure, so i wonder if direct-drive or bowden is better for e-motor and prevent heatbreak creep over longer times.

I'm thinking external electronics for long(er) life.

I have a groove for the gasket (using regular silicone in there and let it dry to make gasket in place right now) but would be nice to print out "real" gaskets of some kind of flex-sealing. Can also be used for feet and isolators inside.

A complete print right now takes about 4-6h with a 0.4 nozzle around-ish 60mm/s and quality is good, planning on swaping to a 0.6 for alittle quicker prints.

I've look thru the blogpost from prusa on building the mk3 enclosed with external electronics, but am not certain on direct or bowden extruder approach.

For flex, direct is not always needed, but also not all directdrives can handle flex good.

This is for hobbyist-things and not for "living of the work" of the printer.

Any input is welcome
