Problem with new Printer parts R3 "Better cooling and extruder upgrade"
Hello,
I have some problems with the new printer parts from the New Kit "Better cooling and extruder upgrade":
1. There is no grid between the heatsink and the wire for the probe and fan. I think that could be danger.
2. There is no connection from one of the both holes of the fan to the extrudor --> The fan is not fixed!
3. The screw of the other hole of the fan fits in the hole of the nozzle-fan-support, but does not hold.
Do you have the same problems? Are any solutions or instructions available?

@1 The grill was removed on purpose to reduce the airflow resistance, the heatsink does not heat up enough to damage the wire so there is no danger there.
@2 Correct. If you mount fan at 45 degrees you use only 1 screw. The second one is there if you prefer the old fan layout.
@3 Have you inserted a nut into the hole on the other side?
If you try and take a cat apart to see how it works, the first thing you have on your hands is a nonworking cat.

I forgot the nut! Now the screw holds into hole!

I printed this update and downloaded the latest firmware its bloomin brilliant now thanks joe just need my textured bed and ill be whole again lol

I left a few cm of slack in all of my wires when I re-did mine. The first time around I had everything a bit tight then ended up with a lot of excess wiring stuffed in the einsy housing. This time around I figured a little slack might not be bad.

What do you mean exactly? Blooming brilliant compared to before in what way?

cooling is so much better and changing the ptfe tube is easier to replace also you can get at it better
