Prints are a disaster after update and recalibration

I updated to the latest firmware so my printer would stop bugging me before every print.

I then removed a magnetic sheet that was on my printer and re-calibrated.

Every print is not adhering and there is what looks like stringing.

I have re-calibrated every which way I can.

I have uploaded a pic of the last successful print as well as the unsuccessful live z adjustment square that will not print.

Any help is much appreciated as I am frustrated by this.  To have a expensive printer and rolls of filament ready to print my files only to be halted because of firmware updates.  Ugghh!

That bed level print looks either like serious under-extruding, or a way too high nozzle.

Looks like you need to calibrate your live Z

@hli

I started to think the same thing this morning after getting some sleep and letting my mind relax.  The magnetic sheet formed a nick in it and I think on a print that went bad the PINDA may have been slightly moved and so no the detection is to high.

Later today I am going to lower the Pinda  recalibrate and level again.  I hope this works as this is very discouraging to have designs ready to print and then to only see my expensive printer sit there with over a dozen rolls of filament ready to be printed.

If it does not work, I will post for more help.

By the way do you know of any third party removable pei sheets for the mk3.  I cannot stomach paying 39.99 for a sheet and pay 50.00 for s/h.  I would rather buy a less expensive knockoff.  So if you know of anywhere online, I would much appreciate it.

 I want to buy an extra one so I have two for different filaments.  My original has a few indentations from the nozzle as the sheet wasn't set right due to the sheet sitting on top of one of the two screws that stick up in the back part of the bed (to help act as a end stop for the sheet), as it is hard to tell that the sheet is not flat when it catches on top of one of the two screws.  That is why I bought a cheap heat bed magnetic sheet but the vinyl on it adhered to the melted plastic.

I've become a big fan of the BZCAMD textured sheet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XC673ZT/

Works great with everything I've thrown at it, PLA, PETG, ABS, Flex, and after three months it looks almost like new.

Not sure about smooth sheets, but there are plenty of threads on this forum on this very topic.
