paused thermal error mk3 i3

I have two i3 mk3.  They sat in a box for a year and have just started using them on a dozen parts. Then I had a fan print error on one and replaced the fan motor.  The other has different problems.  Now I am getting "thermal anomaly" and "paused thermal error"  When this started a couple parts ago, I manually set the fan motor to 130 and continued printing.  I would have one layer that looked wrong.  Now I got that error 8 times on the same part with repeated restarting after 18% completed.

Can anyone tell how to deal with thermal errors?

Do you happen to print very small test prints ? With the current MK3S+ firmware versions, I can't print a small size (print area on bed) object with getting these thermal anomaly errors (I do have a revo nozzle, though). A workaround is to print multiple objects at once, or something that has a larger print area on the bed ---> no more thermal anomaly errors. If this doesn't work for you, you might actually have some HW issues.
