MK3S+ to MK4 upgrade printing

In https://www.printables.com/model/451501-mk4-printable-parts buried in the model files area, there are files that have extensions .stp, rather than .stl, do I have to print these .stp files?  If not, why are they there?  At least under the Frames sub directory, it seemed I didn't need to print the stps.

I usually like to print from the stl's and apply what I'd like to add - in particular relocating the print or rotating to an area of my print bed that is flatter.  I don't know of a way to do this with the gcodes.

Is there a one to one correspondence between the listed stl files and the total number of parts to print?  It's hard to tell, at least for me.  If not, is there an itemized list so I can check things off as I print them?

If this is posted in the wrong area, my apologies, I didn't see the correct place.  I'm just now starting to print the parts on my MK3S+ to do the upgrade.

I'm looking in the Nextruder directory and I'm finding this non obvious.  Which pg-case-* should be printed?  R3?

How about which PG-assembly-adapter-MK3-R2 or ...-MK4-R1?  How do you print either one?  There's some decent overhangs no matter which way the part is oriented.

The *.stp files are in STEP format. They can be used for import into CAD software like Fusion 360 for people who want or need that.
R* in the file name designates a version number for the file. I would always use the one with the highest version which should be the latest iteration and the most up to date one.

Thank you Walter!  Yes, I should have known that.  I use FreeCAD to design stuff.  Have to confess, I imported an stp file into FreeCAD to look at it earlier today.  For some reason, I thought these files were different.  Makes sense now.

It's a pity that the gcode files are not grouped together the same as the model files - makes it tough for a new person to tell if they got everything.

I have the same non obvious look at it, did you ever had a solution of what parts to print/use ?

I basically followed Walter's advice.  Somehow muddled through it.  My MK4 is working fine, so I must have gotten most of it right by some creative guessing.
