Great MK3
Before purchase, and also while waiting for my (pre-assembled) MK3, I read a lot in the forums. I read a lot of possible problems and so on.
To somehow counter those (rightful) reports on problems, I just want to state, after about 2 weeks with a shiny new MK3: It is a wonderful machine. It is silent, it prints precise and reliable. Simply marvelous.
One Idea for improvement, however:
Last weekend I had two jams when unloading the filament. One time, a part of the filament got stuck somewhere in the heatbreak. So I got to know the print head a bit better. Two or three filament changes later, the (malformed) tip of the filament got stuck somewhere near the filament sensor. Easy to recover though. In my last printer (a CTC Bizer), I was used to remove the filament via cold-pull to prevent any issues. This is, however, not practicable at the MK3.
But I managed to discover, that a bit of extrusion before removal of the filament leaves a filament with a wonderful tip. Therefore it would be absolutely great, if something like this could be (optional) included in the firmware. If I understand it right, the MMU2 does exactly this for tip-shaping, there it is called "ramming". So it seems to me, that a "ramming-light" would be great on the plain MK3 also.

That is indeed something I regulary do since I had some trouble with a filament. And no more issues then.

I created a gcode just to make it a breeze to use.
I placed it on the SD, and can now "print" it to unload the (PLA) filament. (For other filaments, just change the temperature)
