Frequent crash while printing
Hi, I print a lot of cylinders for optics, this time the problem was more annoying.
From the photos you can see a vertical seam and in the inside ,some string about
5 to 10 mm further from the seam. After a height of about 30 mm you could tell the
nozzle was bumping over the seam and occasionally giving crash warnings which
I had to over ride to finish. Previously I did a first layer calibration which I thought
looked good. Any idea why this happens? what can I do to fix it? Is the seam normal?

The seam can be normal. How old is the printer?
Crashing has a lot of causes. Some are mechanical and others can be due to the nozzle hitting a print such as with warping.

Seams are normal, the print head has to start a layer somewhere so it often starts it at the same point. Many times this isn't a problem but if it is you can change how the print handles seams. Take a look at this:

The finish is a little rough, before trying anything mechanical try drying your filament and cutting the print speed by 10%.

Thanks, that article helped. My concern wasn't so much the seam as the stringing
that occurred on the inside around the same place in the cylinder. I figured it had to
related to the seam even though is was further on.
