First layer issues - Big build, multiple parts
Hi,
I have been using the MK3 and really pleased with it but i have just come against a problem.
I am doing say 120 parts on the same build , and getting the first layer down is the problem.
I have ran through the wizard again and also calibrated first layer many many times.
It seems that when it does the boarder around the whole build a part of that even comes up off the tray, then when its around 20 pcs in the tip gets a build up of filament and in turn it just builds up a big mess at the tip.
Anyone give me any advise on this please?

The adhesion seems to be fine X but coming back towards me in Y axis it seems to come from the tray.
As you can see in attached picture even the small close layered bit of the sequence the ends seems to come up when going back and fourth.

Again,
Cleaned tray added the glue stick - tried to optimise level of first layer - hopeless.
Losing faith fast.
Anyone?

Have you really checked your z-height ?
I looks like your live-z ist too high. Try to move down in steps of 25µm. But be carefull not touching and scratching the bed with the nozzle.

The best test for this is 9 x 20mm calibration squares; one in each corner and one in the centre (basically at each calibration point).
You can then adjust the bed a small amount using the bed level correction on the menu (I think that's still available on the Mk3?)

I havnt seen this setting under calibration though will look after this build finishes.

I just needed to be a bit more patient with it.
I also was moving the tip up instead of down.
IL just walk away red faced.
I need 10,000 parts doing if anyone fancies helping me out.
I can send STL file and prices.
