First Layer Gaps At Certain Points of Bed

Hey everyone

So my MK3S+ started throwing this issue recently...

As you can see, the layers have gaps in them. However, this only occurs as the nozzle moves closer to the middle/back of the print bed. I have tried A TON of maintenance and troubleshooting so I will give a rundown of what I have done so far:

Recalibrated XYZ
Changed nozzle
Changed the y-axis bearings (which also included retightening of the screws for rods and heatbed)
Corrected the tension of both belts
Cleaned my sheet with warm soapy water (many many times)
I did find some debris under the printer that caused a slight imbalance but removing this did not remedy the issue
Tried different filaments
Lubricated all rods
Made sure there was no extruder blockages
PTFE tube is still intact
Heater was slightly loose, retightened, issue remained

And I think that's it...

Anyways, please please please someone help me as this is driving me crazy. See picture below. I lifted the print off the bed slightly so you can see the spacing better. I should add that after replacing the bearings it did improve a little bit and the picture below is after the replacement. It was so much worse beforehand.

Thanks everyone,

Liam

Your first layer 'Z' offset calibration is a little too high, not enough squish. Your nozzle has probably worn a little since you last calibrated it.

Hi Diem, thank you for your reply.

The nozzle used for the print pictured is fresh. The z level appears absolutely fine in other areas of the print bed and when I perform the first layer cal, it looks pretty darn fine. I'll give it a go though tomorrow morning and see what happens and report back.

I know of this but I was hoping to remedy the cause of the issue and get the printer back to how it was without having to perform any advanced calibration.

The problem probably stems from the change of Y axis bearings and the disturbance to the rods and bed; it's easy to overtighten the heatbed screws for example.  You could revisit that.

This problem existed before changing the bearings, hence why I replaced the bearings.

Thanks,

If you don't want to calibrate; recheck the heatbed screws, they must have the same tension and not be overtightened.
