Firmware 3.70-FINAL - Temperature calibration?
I noticed a new "Temperature Calibration" option under the firmware calibration menu. On running, it asks to remove the spring steel sheet, then appears to heat up at various points over the bed steps through 6 bed temp values up to 110C. Is there a write-up on what is being done during this process anywhere? Does is supplement or replace PID tuning? It appears to supplement it.

I could be wrong, but I think it is actually heating the PINDA up to different temperatures and calibrating it's temperature response curve. If it is the same process, that's what I've seen when watching the serial monitor in Pronterface when running that calibration step.

That looks right. I'm wondering if this eliminates the need for doing a PINDA warmup to ensure consistency in mesh bed leveling results.

That looks right. I'm wondering if this eliminates the need for doing a PINDA warmup to ensure consistency in mesh bed leveling results.
Interesting. Is this why some recommend heating the bed up before leveling.

When bed heats up it expands. Since it's rigidly attached in 9 points to the Y carriage, which is not heated the bed buckles a bit instead of stretching out.. Leveling later adapts to the 'final' shape of the bed.

This isn't new, it may just have been moved. I remember running it on 3.5
