@protoncek

Thank you! I just decided to wire it right to the power supply. No need to mess with soldering or frying the mobo. (Because that’s just my luck lol. Thanks for the design and for your help even though I didn’t provide a ton of info to go off of. Much love.

Hmm - assuming you didn't go out and buy a very special 24v fan, let us know how that works out.

@tim-m30

The ended 3 pro comes with a very 24 volt fan to cool the hot end and it’s got a very long set of wires so it’s working perfectly atm. Stepper is staying very cool. I could reduce the fan speed if I needed by wiring it to a small bread board and throwing some resistors on it. Or wiring to a potentiometer to control the speed but I think it’ll work great.

I was concerned you through a 12v fan on - or worse, a 5v fan. Smoking would have been in your future. There are really cute buck converters on Amazon, 6 for $10 or some ridiculous low price > 5 to 40v in to adjustable out at 3 amps. And small. Great for printer hacks.

And it’s clogged again....it cannot be anything other than poor quality of materials and poor design and poor hot end! I’m so pissed off atm. I’ll never buy from prusa again! $800 and I’ve had to do more to this printer than I have ever had to do to a $200 creality! Wtf Josef?!

It’s the nozzle! Good thing I bought 2 this last time! The nozzle has maybe seen 50-75 hours.....max and I already have to changed it. I’ve only printed pla and htpla neither of which should effect the nozzle or make it clog like this. When I take it off it’s clear there is buildup around the hole...sucks!

It’s the nozzle!

So much for "... it cannot be anything other than poor quality of materials and poor design and poor hot end!", eh? The nozzle is E3D, so you can't really blame Prusa there. Nozzles are also expendables, and replacing or at least swapping is a recommended troubleshooting step. I keep a half dozen around so as to never be caught short.
