Can the Original Prusa i3 MK3S kit print transparent objects?

Hi, I want to print some transparent objects. Can this printer do that? What filament do you recommend?

Not really.  It can print translucent, not transparent. Search the forum, there was a recent thread with ideas and better solutions.

No FDM printer can print truly transparent objects. The best you can generally do is translucent. If you need transparent, the best bet is probably to 3D print a mold and cast your object in a clear material.

See https://taulman3d.com/t-glase-optics.html for a possible option.

You can get pretty damn close, but tuning the process is really finicky.

I'm a big fan of colorfabb_HT, use it a lot where I'd otherwise use PETG. The temperature tolerance and strength are main reasons, but I have a large spool of the clear that I do play with a lot trying to print clear things... lenses are a real challenge, and gratifying when you get it to work! To be honest, I haven't printed on the MK3 yet, all my clear items have been on my Mini 2.

See Let's Make Something Clear, colorfabb.com.
