Z crash when trying to first print

After assembling my new printer and doing all the calibrations successfully, I wanted to start some file from the SD card.

When doing so the printer goes out of bounds on the right, so when lowering the Z axis, the pinda probe can not detect anything and the nozzle crashes into the sheet. 🙁

Any ideas how to fix this?

When you first start a print and the machine goes through the axis homing routine, does the X axis travel fully to the left side of the machine and touch against the end of it's travel? I'm thinking yours is not and it causing the print head to shift to the right.

yes, then it lowers does a small dot and immediately glitches to the far right, hitting the sheet - telling me to check Z sensor

Try sliding your extruder from side to side and feel if its jeeky or gritty.  If it is try lubricating the smooth rods ant try again.

The stepper driver senses resistamce to movement to set the virtual endstops. And it looks like it is malimg am error in your case

Once the pinda is  over  the end of the build  plate  it will gail to sense  the build plate and crash

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

Axis are fine, also the self test reports so.

I can only say it prints now...

you sure want to know what fixed the problem... I dont know... other than doing the wizard 200 times with various pinda heights... 🤕
