Z bed ajustement
Hi,
I would need your help for my MK3
I have a problem printing because my bed isnt leveling correctly
I have made XYZ calibration to many times
My screw under the bed are correctly torque
My pinda probe is working and is ajusted with a tool i have found on prusa forum
Could it be possible that the X under the heat bed is the problem ?
Why my pinda probe dont ajust the height by it self ?
Thank you for your help I dont know what to do
RE: Z bed ajustement
Hi Charles Jaques,
your build plate looks dirty, as it you have the remainder of glue stick on the surface. and it also looks like the right hand side of the heatbed is out of adjusement
What I Would suggest is cleaning your build plate really well, I do not use adhesive, nor do I Use Fystec build plates. I Just wash the Prusa Build plate with Hot water and dish soap, rubbing really well, to remove all grease and surface contaminants, I Keep a new clean kitchen sponge, especially for this purpose
Then I Rinse the build plate well with plain hot water and dry immediately with plain paper towels, (I DO NOT USE IPA, or ACETONE)
Readjust your Z axis
with your printer at idle, press the LCD Knob for a couple of seconds and you should enter the Z height Menu, use the knob to run the Extruder all the way to the top of the Z axis, you should hear a vibrating noise, as the X axis end pieces bump into the top stops on the Z axis. If you dont hear this, press the reset button on the LCD panel, briefly then when the LCD returns to the normal display, use the knob to raise the Z axis until BOTH sides of the Y axis rattle against the Z axis top stops.
this should make sure your X axis is parallel to your heat bed and build plate
now check your first layer calibration again
I use the 'Life adjust Z My way' process... in preference to Prusa's built in first layer calibration routine
there are test files for mk3 and Mini, at the bottom of the first post in the thread

Hi Joan Tabb,
Thank you for your help
I know my plate look dirty but the surface as been attacked by a product there is no remainder of anything on it and if I turn my plate 180 ° the result is the same so i dont think its the plate itself the problem
I also tried with differents plates
For the axe Z I have already have made this step and it didnt help
If you any other suggestion I am open thank you again
RE: Z bed ajustement
are you using 3x3 mesh bed levelling?
Or 7X7 Mesh bed levelling>
I use 7X7 wirg magnet compensation on, and 3 test prints at each point
