X-axis and the trapezoidal nuts
G'day Guys,
Really quick question, with regards to the X-axis and the trapazoidal nuts. Is it normal to have different amounts of friction per side? For example, I level out the gantry by eye, then twist the threaded rod on each side at the same time. I notice the side closer to the motor is a fair bit harder to twist. I'm concerned that tension on the motor side may cause the motor to skip. I did not force the lead screw in on assembly. is this ok?

ok, just read through all 72 comments on that slide. Seems to be a common problem. I'll try some of the suggestions within.
