What's really in that Surface Cleaner Sachet?

It says it is Isopropyl Alcohol, but it doesn't clean very well. My first two Boaty McBenchy tests floated off the bed. Then I cleaned it with my own 99% IPA and things are now sticking. Whatever is in that sachet it smells like tequila, and seems to be as effective as you would imagine tequila to be.

IPA is not really that great at cleaning, only between prints when there is no grease on the bed.

Better with fairy/dawn unscented, rince with lots of hot water and dry thouroughly, preferrably on radiator or heat bed.

Once a month with acetone 100% is also very effective.

Tank you very much!

Also, the wipes are not great, not enough IPA to clean, you really need a lot to have any effect.

A 5cm puddle of alcohol can work if your fingers are dry and not oily or loaded with hand lotion, and you use a fresh folded paper towel or a large microfiber cloth that doesn't melt when alcohol hits it. Otherwise, soap and water is best for the smooth PEI sheet.
