Textured sheet failure.

Got my MK3s assembled, it was a fun build.

My problem is I can't get anything to stick to the textured sheet. The smooth sheet prints great but no luck with the texture.

I have cleaned it with soap and water and alcohol and tried many different live-z settings but no luck.

Any ideas?

RE: Textured sheet failure.

Search on the forum, a lot of users have this problems.

Pla sticks not good to the textured sheet.

Are you low enough with the first layer, let us see pictures.

RE: Textured sheet failure.

Scott,

Try a thorough cleaning with unscented dish detergent, clean paper towels and copious amount of HOT water.  Then leave the alcohol behind, it is possibly contributing to your adhesion issues.  As @peter-m26 noted the textured sheet can be difficult with PLA.  Some have succeed and others use the textured sheet only for PETg and similar materials.  Also note that the firmware can store different live-Z settings for different sheets so be sure you have selected the correct sheet before you calibrate your live-Z.

Finally, use the adjustment procedure in this forum post "Life adjust Z - my way" with the appropriate test coupon downloaded from the post to fine tune your setting for live-Z.  Most find that the live-Z must be a little lower with PLA on the textured sheet to get sufficient "squish" into the sheet surface.

Regards,

Steve
