Repeatable (bad) print quality issues

I'm printing with the Prusa-supplied filament (silver PLA) that came in the box, using the files on the supplied SD card.

I printed the Prusa logo 3 times (at slightly different Z adjustments). Always, the P looks okay. The U looks kind of okay. And the other letters look AWFUL.

I then tried printing the frog (150um height version), and one side of the frog looks... okay. One side looks ghastly. What can I look at to try and debug this. One would expect, if it's underextruding, that it would be uniformly bad vs one side looking okay. But I don't know. Could the temperature be too low? Or the heat dissipating too quickly to keep the filament malleable?

Tension SEEMS okay. No slippage I can find. Everything calibrates properly. Went through the video tutorial post construction.

Yes. I've watched that video and done the adjustments required.

I'm not sure, if filament was not feeding properly, that the errors would be in the same place all the time. It seems like random errors would cause random issues with the prints vs a repeatably bad quality.

All right. I've fixed the weirdness, it seems. It's not perfect, but everything else is just tweaking.

The culprit? What else. A set screw. The set screw on the X axis motor was slipping because of a poorly shaped cup. I replaced it with another hardened set screw I had, tightened it up, and it solved all sorts of weird print issues.
