recalibration?

Hi,

I bought a preassembled mk3s and it was fine till I got a cloged nozzle and in the process of raising the z axis to clean it off,

something was reset, and I really had first layer issues. My question is...How do I get back to my original settings made at the factory,or do I need to do the recalibration all over and if so where do I start for example xyz calib first? or first layer?  thanks john

RE: recalibration?

Hi John -

The first thing that comes to mind that may have happened is that you loosened the PINDA sensor during cleaning so make sure that you check that it’s screwed tight. Then, do a first layer calibration (when prompted whether to start from 0 or continue with current values, I recommend to start with 0.

Also, and I apologize to assume that you’re fairly new to 3D printing, but also make sure that your heat bed is nice and clean. See other posts on this forum for tips.

If after these two improvements you still have issues, you could do the z-axis calibration.

Hopefully this will solve your issue.

good luck!

thanks, I'll start with that. On an attempted print .I got the warning "crash detection'  for a few seconds, but it kept on printing, then did it again a few minutes later. The print looked ok. Any Idea what caused this?  thanks john
