PLA - supports print problem
Hello,
I spent lot of time on internet trying to find, why I have always problem to print something with using supports. In the example below I'm using PLA from Creality. Printing at 215°C with extrusion multiplier to 0,9 (I was thinking that the problem is with over extrusion).
Can you help me with your opinions? Thank you
RE:
My guess is that the settings are well within tolerance.
Yes, there can be an issue of the very tiny 'square wave' sections of break-away support footings curling up and failing to adhere and it can be very frustrating. I've found that more often than not it happens with PLA filaments.
I have found that an adhesion booster really helps out in this case. I prefer Layerneer, but there are others such as Magigoo, or even glue stick. Some even use hair spray or dilute glue solutions.
I wrote a review of this product a couple of years ago and I swear by it in cases like this.
RE:
As far as I can see from the pictures, the Z-Adjust seems to be not optimal (too high). Try to go a little lower step by step (0.05mm).

Karl
