Only one z-axis motor works

Hi, just finished assembly of my i3 Mk3 and am having some trouble with the z-axis. In running through the calibration only the left z-axis motor was running so it failed. I checked the connections and swapped the connection for the left and right z-axis motors. Running calibration again now the right z-axis motor runs and the left one does not. What should I check?

Contact Prusa support via online chat and have a Video of the Z motor not working in both positions to hand. It sound like you have a defective Einsy board.

I heard from Prusa support and they confirmed it sounds like a bad Rambo board and have a replacement on the way to me now.

Re: Only one z-axis motor works

Final update on this. I am an idiot. I had one of the Z motors and the E motor swapped. I don't know how I determined to wire it that way as the manual is quite clear on how this should be wired. I'm a further nit wit in that I kept wiring it that way without double checking the diagrams. I should have posted a pic of how I hooked up the wires from the start, as soon as support saw what I did they corrected me. At least I now know why no one else ever ran into this... It's bloody hard to screw up this bad.

Well, you are not the only one. Exact same thing happened to me.

Don’t beat yourself over that! I, for one, tried to run my pre-built MK2S on 220 volts here in the US, without any success. After this was brought to my attention by support I switched the power supply and all was OK. Of course, I had not read the Handbook - lesson learned!
I have since built kit versions with no problems...so easy to miss the obvious.
