Newb xyz calibration fail

I’m an elementary stem teacher who’s feeling like I bit off more than I can chew.  This assembly was tough. And now for the life of me, I can’t get xyz calibration successful. I’m to the point where I would pay someone in the Denver area to repair. I’m hoping the pics give a clue to what I’ve done wrong.  If you have a thought or 2, I’d be most grateful.

Your print sheet is still not clean.

Your first layer is, if anything, a fraction too low, too much squish, but it's close.

I suggest you enable 7x7 mesh-bed levelling (LCD menu.)

Please show us your heat-block/nozzle assembly.

Cheerio,

Please run a first layer Z calibration and post a picture of it on the print-sheet.

It looks like you may have first layer adhesion issues, these are common in the beginning.

There are visible smears on your print sheet so first clean the sheet with dishwashing detergent (Dawn/Fairy) and plenty of HOT water, rinse well and dry with a fresh paper towel. Handle by the edges only.

Hello. Thx tons for the help. After cleaning, I took 3 photos of first layer cal. I set the calibration to -1.0 for the frog. I lowered it to -1.1 for the current images.

So I discovered something I did wrong, one of the screws on the gt2 pulley on the x-motor shaft was no tightened enough. I think the directions said light tighten for now….and I never fully tightened later. So during the print, the belt would slip every once in awhile throwing everything off. After tightening up and making that final x correction u suggested, I got a flawless print. A little freaked out as I’m wondering what else I missed.
Anyway,  I have a makerbot in the classroom and was never happy w the prints. This Prusa blows my mind. The quality is unreal comparatively. THANKS BUDDY FOR YOUR HELP. If u are ever in Denver, I owe you a drink (in the trees, while skiing).
