New superPINDA, first layer issues

Hello all, I installed a super pinda at weekend due to the original being faulty, did the 0/1 test first to make sure no faulty connection etc (from the knowledge base). Did first layer calib and all seems fine, however if I do a test sheet or the prusa 3x3 test print it’s a nightmare. The corners seem fine, print is without gaps etc, however the centre of the bed area the lines are not connected. It looks like there is a slight dip in the bed of maybe .2mu however shouldn’t the PINDA adjust for this and still provide a decent print?

RE: New superPINDA, first layer issues

Please tell us about the steps you did after installing the new PINDA:
- Did you do a Z-calibration (not XYZ) but the Z-calibration. This will set a kind of presetting for the meshbedleveleing.
- Do a more complete first layer calibration (not the one from the menu) but one what test a larger surface. See for example: https://www.printables.com/model/251587-stress-free-first-layer-calibration-in-less-than-5/files
- when that is OK, search for a test, with 9 small squares spread over the bed. That will help to check is bed-leveling is OK.
(NB: If you use Octoprint, there are some plugins to measure the leveling of the bed. )
PS: the range of leveling by the system is (I hope I remeber this correct ) is about 0,5 mm + or -. If it is more then that, it will not be able to correct the difference.

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.

RE: New superPINDA, first layer issues

Hi there, thank you so much for this. The steps I did was the Z calibration, and the mesh bed level. I did do the 1st layer setting from the menu but I then ran did 2 prints over a larger area which was a full 1 layer square, and the other was the Prusa printable at this link

https://www.printables.com/model/36706-bed-level-test

it was on these tests were it showed the issue. I am not connected to Octoprint but I will look to see if I can do that or run a command to get the bed levelling detail.
