Hi!
I just finished the assembly of my MK3S, I did the calibration and printed the Benchy included in the SD card.
I need your help here, I really don´t know if I am having printing issues or if the result is what it should be. I kindly ask you to look at the pictures and let me have your opinion.

For sure, your first layer calibration is definitelly bad (your first picture). Use live z adjustment to correct it. The nozzle has to go lower.

Thanks a lot for your reply, when doing the first layer calibration I was going after a slightly round upper profile of the extruded string. As it is, it still looks a bit squished to me, anyway, I´ll go lower.
Do you think the first layer calibration is to blame for the problems shown in the other pictures?

I am fairly confident that the first layer issues are not responsible for the other issues,
Have you checked your belt tightness?on X and Y axis?

First layer has to be solid and smooth, you have it like a set of individual lines. First layer is a basic, it can cause many troubles.
The "ghosting" issues might have a lot of reasons, I would gues belt tension. Have you read this: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/does-your-freshly-assembled-original-prusa-i3-mk3-print-as-the-best-it-can/

I have checked the belt tightness but the criteria is a bit subjective.
Judging by the pictures, do you think the belts might be loose or tight, that would help me a lot.

When doing the First Layer Calibration from the Calibration Menu, I do get a smooth and solid square. Could it be that the first layer in the Benchy model is a "set of individual lines"?
Yes, I have gone through the article you mention. I already checked that the X and Y pulleys are properly positioned in the steppers axles and both allen screws are tightened. Maybe it is the belt tension, from the pictures could you tell if the belts are loose or tight? That would be a big help.

First layer is high for sure; try printing a larger patch so you have time to adjust on the fly:
You have a loose drive pulley causing the non-circular circles. And a loose drive can cause many of the artifacts you are seeing.

Drive pulleys were not loose. I tightened X and Y belts and results were a lot better, although I think I am not there yet.
The trial and error approach with the Benchy takes a lot of time. Can anybody point me to, or even better, provide me a faster to print gcode file for MK3S calibration purposes?

if you see a problem in the lower part of the benchy, you don't have to wait for it to complete, you can stop the print and resolve that part of the problem...

Unfortunately the problems show after an hour, and more so in the last few minutes. I get a bit of ghosting around the bow holes, ghosting in the cabin walls and the smokestack is not completely round.

Ok,
How about re slicing the model so that most of the hull doesn't print?
I gave this a 5mm brim to ensure that the parts stuck to the build plate

Here's a simple test part: 25mm cube, square corners with 0.2mm radius, 0.45 mm walls.

Being a newbie it helps a lot having the gcode. At this time I don´t feel like adding more variables doing the slicing myself.

Slicing is when the hobby gets fun. Don't be afraid of it. Start with using the defaults, they work quite well. Using other people's gcode is generally safe, but some of us use different startup methods, and may cause you some stress and tension when you see the printer do things you don't expect. I do some preheating, and wait for the printer to stabilize - and you may find the delay unacceptable. I remade the gcode with the stock MK3 startup and dropped it into this zip ... just in case.
