Mk3s Kit Built, Not Passing Self Tests and Calibration

I just completed my MK3s kit.  The build went flawlessly.  Started the initial testing and everything went well up until printing the test pattern.  I was getting low areas in some places on the bed and other areas where the filament was barely adhering.  In troubleshooting and adjusting the PINDA and re-running the self test, I started getting xyz calibration failures around point 4....then I started getting failures around finding point 1.  Now I cant even pass the x-axis self test, I immediately get an x-axis length error.

I have been trying to understand belt tension a bit..my values are wacky on the x-axis:  0, yes: 0!.  As I try to adjust tension, the values seem to move counter-intuitive to the guides...loosening was dropping my value and tightening was increasing.

I am curious how easy the extruder should slide on the x-axis when powered off?  I get a jerky motion when it slides smooth, then friction for a second, then smooth again...repeating as you move across the entire access.

Any thoughts?  I am not sure why it all tested fine and was printing calibrations, now I am back to step one of the setup.

Quick Update: ran self test again..x-axis wouldnt even move before failure.  After failure, I am now showing an 89 for x-axis belt status.

If I use the Move Axis in Settings, its very chunky movement....slides nicely for an inch, then barely at all, then slides nicely.

Update 2: removed the x-axis motor and the extruder slides like butter, so I dont believe its a bearing issue.

Solved!...

X-Axis pulley was binding on the motor due to a set screw not being tight enough.  I had since tightened it, but forgot to ensure the gap as the instructions show.  Backed off the pulley and tensions are now: X: 273 and Y: 263.
