MK3 - Extruder is not heating up after replacing Hot End Cartridge and Thermister

Hello,

The cable for Extruder Hot End Heater was broken so I replace the Hot End Cartridge with 24V and 40W. I also replaced the Thermister. But now when I set the nozzle temp upto 200C, it is not heating up. Any suggestion on how to solve this issue?

Did you replace the entire cable or splice the parts in?

I would check resistance of the heater line at the connector. Sure sounds like a bad connection / on wrong connector pins.

Also - if while just sitting there the ambient nozzle temp reads 0 c, then the thermistor is not connected properly, or defective.

If you tighten the set screw that holds the cartridge in place too much, you can damage the thermistor, which is a glass bead inside a thin metal capsule.

Actually It was my fault. I didn't check the fuse. One of the fuses was blown out. I have replaced it and it working good now.

Thanks,
